The Yale Chemical and Biophysical Instrumentation Center (CBIC) is an extensive collection of analytical instruments for scientific research supervised by a professional staff. We are located in the Chemistry Research Building rm 100 and Kline Chemistry Laboratory rms 3, 6, 7 and 8. Click here for our maps.

The instruments in the CBIC are available for use by all researchers in the Yale community as well as by academic or industrial researchers outside of Yale. A student or post-doc at Yale who wishes to have access to instruments in the CBIC should first obtain approval from his or her research supervisor and then request an account online via this link. You will be asked to provide your VIP number for billing. After you request an account, we will contact you via email to arrange appropriate training.
CBIC use by academic or industrial researchers outside of Yale is dependent upon approval by the CBIC director. Please contact us via email or phone for more information and to request access to the instruments.
